Behavior Modification

Commands:

  • Leave it
  • Off
  • Settle
  • Quiet

Addresses aggressive behavior, anxiety, socialization, etc. Behavior Modification is a highly tailorable program designed for a multitude of needs ranging from dogs who have already some level of obedience training to those requiring special care due to dangerous behavioral issues such as undesired aggression. A proper assessment must be made to fit the needs, and most likely will require some degree of boarding and training.

Boarding and training

All programs in this category are also available with boarding. Board and train programs happen at the trainers home, where they are taken care of like family. They are handled professionally multiple times per day, socialized properly with other dogs, people, etc., as well as brought to the owners home for handling sessions while in boarding, and thereafter, to ensure that we transfer a positive influence to you and your family.

Retrieval

Commands:

  • Take it
  • Hold it
  • Give it
  • Bring it

Retrieval is a wonderful training program for anyone who has completed their obedience, and are looking to give their dog a functional job. From delicate objects such as a business card, to weighted objects like groceries or dumbbells, the utilization of this program is endless  for you and your working partner. Retrieval gives you an opportunity to take your relationship to the next level, while finding all kinds of new tasks to engage your pet.

Utility

Commands:

  • Up
  • Place
  • Brace
  • Stand

This Program is the functional version of what’s more commonly known as "agility" training. Combined with other programs such as retrieval or scent work, here we engage your dog by teaching them to climb up onto objects such as ladders, or onto a wall to traverse across, bracing themselves to assist in mobility for a person with a physical limitation, or pulling someone up from a chair.

Scent work - Tracking

Commands:

  • Find it

This program includes both tracking, and scent work. It is the discipline of finding something or someone via scent by tracking on the ground, and what’s in the air. These two programs are really fun, and make great use of your dogs incredible ability to smell. Did you know that your dogs sense of smell is in the realm of 20,000 to 20,000,000 x better than a human's?

Pre Bite work

Commands:

  • Watch

This is an introductory program to protection work. Keying into your dogs natural instincts, here we have a program that develops your dogs ability to ward off a legitimate threat by barking/growling, coupled with a verbal command.

Personal Protection - Level I and Level II

Both of these programs are designed for the working dog, and for those looking to protect themselves, their homes, their families and their businesses. A great deal of care is taken in assessing your dog for appropriateness of the programs for you and your family, and a separate behavioral assessment is required.
